More Than Soup

More Than Soup is a Peninsula-based community program that brings comfort and connection to isolated seniors through a partnership between St. Paul’s United Church and Jewish Family Services Vancouver Island. Every two weeks, volunteers prepare and deliver nourishing soup—always with a fresh baked treat—right to their door. More than a meal, these regular visits offer reliability, kindness, and a friendly face, helping seniors feel cared for, connected, and valued in their own community.

Would you like to help?

Are you someone who enjoys cooking and thrives in a fun, fast-paced environment? More Than Soup is growing, and we’re looking for a volunteer to join us at St. Paul’s United Church every second Wednesday. Together, we prepare nourishing soups and baked treats for isolated and homebound seniors in our community. We begin at 9:30 AM and aim to have everything ready for delivery by 2:00 PM. If you’d like to help bring comfort, nourishment, and kindness to seniors’ lives, we’d love to hear from you.
